Saturn in Libra is traditionally the planet's most dignified placement, and the Three of Swords, Lord of Sorrow, is the deck's plainest image: a heart pierced by three swords under rain. Saturn's contribution is that the grief is clean. There is no ambiguity in the picture and no symbolism to decode - the tradition treats this card as an honest injury rather than a complicated one. In Libra, the sorrow is almost always relational, and the decan reads for the moment something has been said plainly and cannot be unsaid.
