Saturn in Taurus is patience enforced. The Seven of Pentacles, Lord of Success Unfulfilled, is the deck's clearest image of the growing season that is not over: a figure leaning on a hoe, looking at a crop that has not yet come in. The title sounds like failure and is not. Saturn's contribution is time, and the card's whole argument is that the work is done and the remaining variable is duration. This is the most useful decan in the zodiac for questions about whether to persist, because it describes a situation where persisting and doing nothing look identical from outside.

Using this decan for timing

This is the timing decan par excellence. The Seven of Pentacles answers 'when' with 'not yet, and that is not a failure' - Saturn's ten days are about elapsed time being the operative variable. If a spread pairs it with the Eight of Pentacles, the answer is that more work will not speed it up.
